Doping Prevention at SMI Frankfurt

Under doping refers to the use of illicit substances or the use of illegal methods to increase (usually sporting) performance. This is largely banned in sports because athletes often leads to a risk of health damage associated use of doping substances to an unequal distribution of opportunities in sports competitions. There are many different types of drugs, some other are not yet detectable. In the medical field, you move often at the border, since many active ingredients in medicines, which are used to cure, are among the banned substances.
In our Institute athletes are being treated for many years and they also are cared in doping questions. Our doctors are on the current doping regulations of Nada (National Anti-Doping Agency) and WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) well informed and can give our athletes and coaches at any time informations of the latest developments.

If a medical treatment with a drug that is on the doping list, will be necessary in our institute, it will be well documented and the athletes and the Nada will receive a certificate.
Basically, we reject any kind of doping, because the health risk can be enormous and long-term consequences for the athlete are not foreseeable. This risk we see also for popular sports and club athlete who is subjected to no control.
